Studio grand opening

October 24, 2017

Yes it was way back at the end of August that I held the opening event for the All in a spin studio, when Justine Wheatley, Chief Executive of Arts Alive Wales, kindly performed the opening ceremony.  The following weekend we held a two day exhibition of weaving and spinning along with contemporary textile art by the very talented Jennifer Lewis.  It was lovely to see so many familiar faces over the two days, as well as to meet new faces.

The studio is being well used, both for my own production weaving as well as for classes for up to six spinners or weavers at a time.  With its own kitchen and toilet facilities and a cosy, woodburning stove to keep us warm on colder days, we are completely self contained.  No distractions, apart perhaps for the wonderful views across the valley to the Black Mountains!
